HIST 211 - Women’s Rights in US History


This course deals with the emergence of women’s rights as an idea and a social movement and follows the progress of the “first wave” of feminism in the United States up through the winning of the vote in 1920. It is concerned with the origins, theories, goals, tactics, accomplishments, and shortcomings of this major movement for social change. (US)
