EDUC 308 - Global Anthropologies of Education The study of the relationship between education and economic, social, political, and cultural developments that shape national and regional systems of schooling. In the study of comparative education, students develop an understanding of educational phenomena across national and political boundaries. Research methods, major concepts, and current trends within the multidisciplinary field of comparative education are reviewed and examined. Students have the opportunity to engage in a critical analysis of their educations in relation to other systems of education, both in the United States and overseas.
