EDUC 310 - Marxist Political Economy & Education Policy Consideration of the past 40 years of American education policy with attention to the political, economic, and ideological underpinnings of debate and scholarship. More formally, students will embark on a critical examination of how neoliberal movements toward standardization and privatization have been taken up in contemporary discourse and the effects this has had on political understandings of public institutions and public good.
