ENST 315 - Applied Natural Resource Conservation This community-based research course challenges students to work with local land trusts in solving meaningful environmental problems. Land trusts are non-profit organizations with missions to protect natural resources (e.g., clean water, forests, and open space) of value to their members. Students will work as members of an interdisciplinary team to develop solutions to complex problems faced by land trusts in central New York. Lectures and discussions regarding conservation theory and practices provide an intellectual framework for these applied projects. Students will gain practical experience working in interdisciplinary teams and using contemporary technologies to facilitate effective collaboration.
