HIST 476 - Seminar on Problems in the 19th-Century United States (US) Selected topics in political, social, and cultural history. Possible topics include labor, rights, citizenship, race, religion, empire, gender, and/or sexuality. Students become familiar with the major historiographical debates in the field and are expected to refer to them in their independent research projects. (US)
