HIST 316 - The United States in Vietnam, 1945 - 1975 (US) The origins, progress, and consequences of the U.S. war in Vietnam. The course opens with a chronological overview of the war and U.S. decision making, then examines several key interpretations of American intervention, explores special topics on the war (including antiwar protest and the war as an international event), and concludes with a look at the legacy of the war.
