BIOL 204 - Molecular Biology Uses the study of molecular biology to explore the collaborative process of scientific research, the critical reading of primary literature, the design and implementation of experimental studies, quantitative skills, and the interpretation and communication of research results. Like in all 200-level courses, students focus on the “process” of exploring biology. Provides for a study of biological processes at the molecular level, including transcription, RNA processing, translation, DNA replication and recombination. Emphasis is on understanding the experiments that have led to our current knowledge of molecular processes and, in particular, the means by which these processes are regulated.
