CHEM 458 - Bioorganic Chemistry This half-semester introduction to modern bioorganic chemistry surveys the chemical synthesis, reactivity, and characterization of nucleic acids, peptides, proteins, and carbohydrates. Emphasis is placed on the use of synthetic methods to model, probe, modify, and control biological systems. Case studies drawn from the current literature highlight recent advances in the field.
