CHEM 432 - Introduction to Statistical Thermodynamics This half-semester course starts with a review of pertinent statistics, quantum chemistry, and spectroscopy topics. The concepts of ensemble, partition function, and their relationship with ideal gas thermodynamics quantities like internal energy, entropy, Gibbs energy, equilibrium constant, and other macroscopic observations are discussed.
