CHEM 464 - Organic Synthesis In this half-semester course, a detailed study of the synthesis of organic compounds is presented. Particular attention is given to functional group compatibility, diastereoselectivity and enantioselectiviety, recent developments in organic reactions, as well as reaction catalysis. The primary literature is examined with an eye to better understand the design of the synthetic approach.
