THEA 240 - Intro to Hip Hop Dance An introduction to the fundamental movement techniques and concepts of hip hop dance. Work will focus on the mechanics of rhythm, popping, waving, and choreography. It will include attending live dance concerts, written assignments, readings, and choreography projects. In addition to physical practice, hip hop will be studied as an embodied cultural form with particular attention given to histories and issues of race, gender, and class.
