HIST 248 - Women’s Lives in Europe, 1500-Present


Focuses on the range of experiences of women in Europe, from the Renaissance to the present day. Topics include the experiences of women in the work force and the family, the witch craze, women and religion, women’s involvement in politics and reform movements, the exercise of state control over women’s bodies, and the changing priorities of feminism and feminist ideologies.
