Environmental Studies Minor

Students are urged to enroll in the program as early as possible, with entry normally occurring no later than the end of the junior year.
For students graduating in the Class of 2025 and earlier, please refer to prior University Catalog requirements.

Minor Requirements
The minor consists of six courses: Environmental Ethics
Courses fulfilling this requirement have an attribute of ESEE in the course offerings. Environmental Justice
Courses fulfilling this requirement have an attribute of ESEJ in the course offerings. One of the following: Environmental Economics and Policy
Courses fulfilling this requirement have an attribute of ESEP in the course offerings. One of the following: Environmental Science
Courses fulfilling this requirement have an attribute of ESEN in the course offerings. One of the following: Environmental Studies Electives
Courses fulfilling this requirement have an attribute of ESEL in the course offerings. Two courses from the following list, with these stipulations: - One of these courses must be an ENST offering (or cross-listed with ENST)
- One of the courses must be taken at the 300-level or above
- A single course may satisfy both of the above requirements, but two electives in total are required.
- Courses may not double count for both an elective and the other major requirements listed above.
- ENST 450 and ENST 450L provide an important community-based research experience for ENST minors, and therefore the course is recommended as an elective but not required.
