THEA 276 - Playwriting I Introduces students to the principles, practices, and processes of playwriting—writing for live performance “upon the stage.” In order to develop a working understanding of the elements and devices of playwriting, students engage in regular writing exercises, assignments, and script analysis. Students draft and revise short pieces of dramatic, theatrical writing, including 10-minute plays.
