An introduction to software programming within the context of the arts. The course covers select relevant topics from a variety of current digital art practice. Such topics could include 3D modeling, gaming as a critical act, mapping, media archaeology, and digital interactions with the physical world or surrounding environment. The course selectively introduces students to widely used digital artist toolkits. Completed projects are expected to reflect both rigorous concept development and technology proficiency.
