CHEM 263 - Organic Chemistry I Structure, bonding, and properties of organic molecules; reactivity of organic molecules as exemplified by substitution and elimination reactions involving alkyl halides, alcohols, ethers and related functional groups, and addition reactions of alkenes and alkynes, including addition polymers; and characterization of organic molecules by spectroscopy.
